I really enjoy taking care of my skin and like spending a few minutes in the bathroom at the beginning and end of every day to make that happen. Over the years I have tried a variety of products and I have just recently changed up many of the products that I am using and as such figured it would be great to update you all on my routine.

Note: I am completely cruelty free so all products I use reflect that and I have slightly oily skin and get the occasional pimple on my chin for hormonal reasons.
I mentioned that I have recently changed up a few of the products that I am using in my routine and when doing that it is important to test the items on your skin before you fully start using them as well as to only introduce one thing at a time so that if a product starts to irritate your skin you know which one it is and can stop or reduce the frequency of the product immediately.
Morning
Toner: Tea Tree Toner by Lush – I have been using this particular product forever and I love the cooling properties as well as the addition of the little bit of Tea Tree Oil to help with any blemishes
Serum: Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% by The Ordinary – I have been wanting to try out The Ordinary for a long time and just recently stepped into the store at my nearby mall. I love how affordable the products are as well as the glass bottles. This serum sinks into the skin very nicely in the morning.
Eye Cream: Viper Venum Eye Fix by Nip and Fab – This has been in my collection for a while and I am enjoying it. I like that it rolls on in a cooling way and isn’t super heavy under my eyes.
Moisturizer: Protini Polypeptide Cream by Drunk Elephant – This was one of the birthday gifts from Sephora this year and I have just been using it for a short while but it is a very nice hydrating but light moisturizer for the morning and sits well under makeup

Sunscreen: SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen by Goddess Garden – This was my first foray into natural sunscreen last year and I like this, but I am not completely in love. I find it doesn’t always sit well under makeup though the white cast goes away after a very short while. I will be using it until it is finished however and then I will search for something different.
Evening
Makeup Remover: Ultrabland by Lush – I love this product as it removes all my makeup with just a little bit of massaging and doesn’t irritate my eyes or skin at all. I wash it off with a warm washcloth
Micellar Water: Camomile Fresh Micellar Cleansing Water by The Body Shop – This is another new addition to my collection. I have loved products from this range in the past and like having this extra step when removing makeup and any oil that has come from the makeup remover.
Toner: Same as in the morning
Serum: Buffet by The Ordinary – I like using this serum at night when I am sleeping and is meant to help fight any signs of aging.
Eye Cream: Same as the morning
Moisturizer: 100% Plant-Derived Squalane by The Ordinary – This is very very oily so I definitely would never use this in the morning but it is nice at night to give that extra boost of moisture. I used to think that having oily skin meant that I should never add oily, but rather that it needs to be extra hydrated.
Shower

Face Wash: hawaiian facial cleanser by Alba Botanica – I only really scrub my face while I am in the shower (partially because I have never mastered washing my face without getting the entire sink area wet) and this one feels like it is really cleansing my face while still being gentle
Extras

Face Masks: Variety but mainly from The Body Shop – I love a good face mask and generally do them once or twice a week whenever I have a bath. I love having a variety of masks so I can choose between them based on how my face is feeling and if I need something more cleansing or moisturizing.
I love taking a few minutes each day to give myself a little bit of self care and take care of my skin at the same time. What are some of your favourite skincare products?
I’ve never see the ultrabland from Lush – I definitely need to try it! Is it more like a balm? Or similar to their masks with a thicker movable consistency?

I would definitely call it more of a balm. It can be a little greasy but a second cleanser takes it all off.

I’m using the Farmacy green clean makeup removing balm now, that’s what comes to mind as you describe this one!
