As I have talked about in a bunch of my past posts I love the start of a new year. One of the reasons I love new years is for the new books that are coming out. From new authors to the people that I will pick up everything they write, here are some of the books from the first half of 2020 that I am desperately waiting for.

I have loved Brandy Colbert’s YA novels and I am very excited for her middle grade debut, about two girls, their friendship, and their differences.
How to Be Fine: What We Learned from Living by the Rules of 50 Self-Help Books by Jolenta Greenberg

Release Date: March 17
By the Book is one of my favourite podcase, where Jolenta (and her friend Kristin) live by self-help books for two weeks straight. This book is an extension of that and I can’t wait to find out even more.
The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel

Release Date: March 24
Station Eleven is one of my favourite books of all time, so I am very excited for this one. Featuring ponzi schemes, ghosts, and a whole lot of money I don’t really know what to expect, but I know it will be good.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (The Hunger Games, #0) by Suzanne Collins

I can’t tell you how excited I am to back into the world of the Hunger Games. In this prequel taking place 64 years earlier I am intrigued by an earlier Hung Games and to see what other stories of Panem are yet to be told.
Home Before Dark by Riley Sager

Release Date: July 7
Riley Sager is one of my favourite thriller writers and this book, sure to be full of surprises and horror is a great way to start my summer.
BONUS
Seeing Voices by Olivia Smit

Release Date: April 15
This book gets placed in the bonus section for a few reasons, one I know the author, and two I read a very early version of this book a year and a half ago, but I am very excited to read it again when it comes out officially.
