hobbies and minimalism

Certain things I have no issues being quite minimalist on. I only have my most favourite books, my nail polish collection is down to just a few when years ago I probably had 100, and many items I don’t need to have much of. But there is always some things that we all love, our … Continue reading hobbies and minimalism

how to be more eco friendly on vacation

I recently returned from a trip to Disney World and it was such a fun time. Just being able to get away from work, regular life, as well as a snowfall at home was very needed. As I have talked about on my blog before I am trying to work on switching out items in … Continue reading how to be more eco friendly on vacation

declutter with me: kitchen

Note: This declutter is specifically dealing with non-food kitchen items and I will be working with the food items next month. Both my husband and I enjoy being in the kitchen, baking and cooking and making lots of messes, but that also means that we have collected a lot of kitchen utensils and items that … Continue reading declutter with me: kitchen

how i organize and store my photos

Decades ago photos were taken with much more care. Every photo you took would have to be developed and you would have one (or multiple) versions of every photo that you snapped. This meant that less photos were taken, but everyone had tons of albums and could easily look back at photos and memories. Now … Continue reading how i organize and store my photos

declutter with me: the collection spot

If I were to ask you where you least want to clean up, the spot where everything just collections, what do you think about? I know you have a spot; the closet that everything gets shoved into, the ottoman in the living room that is a black hole, or the shelf in the garage that … Continue reading declutter with me: the collection spot

the best books on minimalism

If you know anything about me you know that two of my biggest passions are reading and minimalism. helping other people declutter

Throughout my family I have definitely become known for my decluttering and my constant desire to minimize my possessions. That means that I have started being called in to help with the decluttering of their stuff, whether they want to or not (apologies to my husband!) Now over the past few months of helping other … Continue reading helping other people declutter

It's @nigelconnors birthday! I love how you make every day special and an adventure. I love the way you think and feel things and how it comes out in such care for the world, your community, and your loved ones.
Date night at the rec centre a few weeks ago. We got to paint, taste some local honey, and had a great time trying some new things
Spontaneous date nights to sit in the fall air and drink wine and eat good food, then going home to listen to the new Taylor Swift album. A great evening all around.
