sales don’t always equal saving money

sales don’t always equal saving money

I love a good sale. I am sure that most people are with me in that sense. Being able to save money and getting a good deal on an item is a great feeling, but sales aren’t always as great as they seem. It is currently the Sephora fall sale and I have been getting … Continue reading sales don’t always equal saving money

you don’t need to keep extra products “just in case”

My bathroom vanity and cabinets used to be stuffed with extra products; shampoo, bubble bath, and more body lotions that I could even count. I used to think that I didn’t just need one backup, but multiple or else I would be doomed. I am so much happier now that I don’t have backups upon … Continue reading you don’t need to keep extra products “just in case”

how I am getting back into shape

My workout routine has been… let’s say non-existent lately. Between a new home, new job, and getting into a new routine my exercise time has suffered. Earlier this year I was working out almost every single day, breaking a sweat and I was noticing changes in my body and feeling much stronger and better about … Continue reading how I am getting back into shape

my summer bucket list

In two weeks summer will be upon us and I must admit I am super excited. I love warm weather, being outside, and the long days that come with summer. I am excited to be back in BC this summer and to be around so much beauty, so many friends, and so many exciting activities … Continue reading my summer bucket list

things that make me happy – spring 2018

I have found myself very inspired and happy these past few weeks which has been so refreshing and I figured I would share some of these things that are making me happy. This is partly inspired by my friend Olivia over at The Cwtch and her series that is about all the things that make … Continue reading things that make me happy – spring 2018

an introduction to capsule wardrobes

103. That is the number of clothes that I own, that doesn’t even include workout gear, lounge wear, pajamas, and underwear. (I even counted my 18 pairs of shoes separately from this list). Now I don’t know about you, but that seems like a crazy amount of clothing items, especially since I only have one … Continue reading an introduction to capsule wardrobes

transitioning to a zero waste/low-impact lifestyle

There has been a lot of changes in my life and what I have thought of the world and my place in it in my life the past few months. While I never used to think about the environment more than trying to do some recycling I didn’t think about what I used or used … Continue reading transitioning to a zero waste/low-impact lifestyle

let’s talk about straws

I love using straws, but I think the world has a problem with plastic straws and we need to give them up. There, I said it. There are a lot of reasons why I like straws including the fact that I have sensitive teeth and it just makes me happier, but I am trying my … Continue reading let’s talk about straws

a love letter to public transit

I don’t drive, yet I have always managed to get where I need to go, thanks to a wonderful thing called public transit. In smaller cities and large metropolitan areas alike there is usually always a bus for me to catch and a schedule to follow. I don’t mind the rigidity of having to catch … Continue reading a love letter to public transit

my current skincare routine – cruelty free

For a long time I didn’t care much about my skincare. I washed my face in the shower with whatever was on sale at the grocery store when I needed to buy more and I tried to treat the acne that I did have with harsh OXY pads that just made my skin more oily. … Continue reading my current skincare routine – cruelty free

It's @nigelconnors birthday! I love how you make every day special and an adventure. I love the way you think and feel things and how it comes out in such care for the world, your community, and your loved ones.
Date night at the rec centre a few weeks ago. We got to paint, taste some local honey, and had a great time trying some new things
Spontaneous date nights to sit in the fall air and drink wine and eat good food, then going home to listen to the new Taylor Swift album. A great evening all around.
